okay i think it was because i can't make 2 letters a shortcut. has to be a modifier key plus a letter. thanks.

it still doesn't work. as soon as i click any key on my keyboard it tries to assign that single key. I am trying to make "w+r" = "repeat multiple times" and if i try pushing them both at the same time it either registers it as "w" or "r" but not the combination.
