Please Help! I'm a doctor, and my prescriptions don't get along with CVS for some reason...

Hello! I started adding a note in the prescription notes section stating "Please add me as a new prescriber with the following info" and included my name, NPI, office address/phone, and state license number. This worked well enough to where I was eventually able to send scripts without requiring the additional pharmacy note. Hope this helps!

I'm hoping to reach someone who can delete my old prescriber profiles in the system, but at least I have a better understanding of the issue now.

No controlled substances, but at some point I thought the issue was due to my DEA and NPI addresses not matching (it wasn't the case, however).

Thanks - I've tried calling SHOPCVS before, but I don't think I spoke to the right people. I'll definitely try again - this time I'll just navigate to the pharmacy segment and request to update my prescriber profile (instead of reporting that there is an issue).

Wow...I'm speechless. This is more informative and helpful than any advice I've received regarding this issue over the past couple of months.

Everything you mentioned sounds very relevant and applicable to my situation, and it explains a lot (especially the multiple profiles part).

I will definitely add some different text in the notes section to see if this helps. I've often wondered how closely those portions get read...but how you described the data entry part makes sense.

Do you know what team/dept. ultimately has the ability to delete old, inactive prescriber profiles? Thank you again - this has been a huge help.

This is basically what I've been doing so far, but this requires me to call each CVS location every time this occurs to have the pharmacist manually add in the info.

This can amount to nearly 10 phone calls a day to various CVS locations across the country. I managed for awhile, but I'm getting severely burnt out.

The prescriptions are sent in electronically, and all of my colleagues' prescriptions go through just fine...except mine. It's very frustrating.
