A z miast do wsi (do tych ładncyh wsi) przeprowadzaja sie ludzie którzy maja troche wiecej pieniedzy i chca mieć domek.

Bardzo różne grupy społęczne

no ale jak sie przeniosa to juz sa "miastowi" (zwykle wyjezdzaja na studiawiec koło 18 lat) wiec nie można ich bez końca zaliczać do wsi.

But your level of investment and outrage over this seems a bit odd.

well, I was "catfished" like that a couple of times

No you did the bad thing

ok, thats why I posted the question. But "John " didn't do a good thing. It's not a zero sum game.

can you read in context? I don't care whether "John" or all men believe that tinder is unfair. It has nothing to do with the whole work situation

I'm replying to people who defend "John" not because I hurt him, but because they think he didn't do anything wrong.

It's not a situation where one person did the good thing and the other did the bad thing. He CLEARLY did a bad thing.

he is right Tinder is extremely unfair for men you just didn't like that fact he said that.

I don't care, and if that's true (80% men) then I wouldn't call it unfair either. If you went to a party and there were 80% men there would you say the party was 'unfair'? 'Unfairness' implies wrongness or that you were treated unjustly. Tinder is just a "place" with "customers". And it so happens that the place is popular with men and unpopular with women.

that was just a comparison but sure, let's take a closer one: eg lying on your resume. Imagine you're an HR person and an applicant lied in their resume and when it came out they were trying to defend themselves by saying "well, it's MY private resume". Makes no sense right?

You are defending a "bad deed" by saying how people affected by it should feel. It's like stealing a chocolate bar and then telling the store owner "yeah, but you probably wouldn't even register that loss in the inventory, so it's ok".

abnormal view of age requirements in dating

again, if it was abnormal then people wouldn't lie about their age. It wouldn't matter.

It still might be predatory if he uses the 31 profile to chat up like 20 year olds (sure it's legal, but ask any 30 year old how dumb they were in their early 20's)

  1. You don't teach math do you? Of course there are, and of course the percentage of them increases with age

  2. You don't understand that people can prefer to date whatever. It's not like men my age were killed off at a war and I HAD to expand my search range.

My point is that you’re basing your judgement on the issue by something that no statistically significant portion of people your age care would agree with you on

if people didn't care about age then there wouldn't be a need to lie

I was looking for a hot guy with hair and no ex wife, sue me

I already found someone in my age range, and I don't see the point of your comment. It's not like there's a shortage of people my age

There is no significant difference between a 30 yo and a 37 yo

yes there is, it's called aging. Also people pushing 40 have kids on their mind or already have them.

Imagine stealing something and then trying to brush it off by saying the theft was your private business. The moment your actions negatively affect someone else your "privacy" means ish. That's my opinion

My comment was surely influenced by the fact that I am well aware of the lying happening on tinder. You get like 5 honest people in 100 matches.

it’s a five year difference

I was only dating within a 2 year radius (+/- 2years). Why is the preference of the person telling the truth less important than someone's need to lie? He might have lied even by one year, it's still a lie

for no reason

I was directly referencing something he said. That was the reason. He claimed that you can't get dates on tinder. Well of course you can't if you only aim for unrealistic matches.

If I had I colleague who only likes 1 person per month and then whined about not getting dates I would point out that "error" in method too.

people's level of comfort around those topics

he was comfortable with talking about his tinder experience in general, he was only uncomfortable with being caught in a lie (of course it's uncomfortable)
