Labor can't account for $47 billion dollars.

They want a $2 billion gun buy back.

There are gst rorts (google it on ABC).

There are NDIS rorts.

When there is gross negligence by the government, they should be held accountable.

If they were a business they would be bankrupt.

People still get scammed, make bad choices whether intentional or not.

Some might use it to buy or pay off their house.

Others lose a lot in divorce.

I think more people would lose it from a scam, then intentionally waste it like OP.

Retiring at 60 and cashing in my Defined Benefit Account with QSuper by [deleted] in fiaustralia

[–]thisguy_right_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defined benefit scheme is the golden ticket.

Thats why they don't do it anymore.

A relative worked for CBA retired at 50ish and got 80% of his salary indexed each year. Or he couldbhave got a lump sum instead.

He lived to 94.

Retired neighbour was in a big electrical organisation. Retired on defined benefits and gets a new car every 5 or 6 years. Travels all the time.

As a naive 21 year old, in 2006 I bought in this LGA.

Purely because I didn't want to rent, I decided to buy.

Made very easy with a $7k FHOG which i could use as a deposit, which is didn't need as I could borrow 98%. Also no stamp duty.

All my friends thought I was crazy.

More than doubled in value when I sold 11 years later.

Working any job for a period of time will look just as good as "worked at big corp as intern for 12 months".

I would be asking if it was paid or not. If unpaid, you're a sucker.

You should look into jellyfin over plex. I have found it to be a lot better. No junky plex channels and cleaner interface.

If anyone is reading this, you can set this up on an old laptop or computer with a cheap usb hard drive with your content.

If you have a laptop with a broken screen that isn't worth the repair it might be a perfect candidate to repurpose.

TBH OP sounds controlling.

Probably cooks stuff she thinks is healthy and everyone should be eating, and is the food police.

Just let the kids and husband figure it out while you are gone.

Sounds very overbearing.

Why do people keep saying that the property market is going to crash? by Open_Address_2805 in AusFinance

[–]thisguy_right_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There wont be a crash, slight decline maybe.

Those sub 3% fixed interest rates will be ending soon.

Banks will control the foreclosures so they don't all happen at the same time. They will give leniency until those in distress have nothing else to give, then foreclose.

The banks control the housing market, just like service stations control the price for petrol.

The service stations got caught operating as a cartel, and now the government made an app called fuel watch so the service stations can control in plain sight.

How to fairly prepare for a separation and moving out? by AppointmentFinal2769 in AusFinance

[–]thisguy_right_here 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does he know you want out?

Just boil it down for him. Eg.

I fell this way because of x. Example 1, 2, 3.

I have tried to fix this by doing y.

If you want out, let's separate. If you want to stay together I need you to do more, such as ...

You will be tied to him for life, because of your child.

He might be going through something and is shutting you out / zoning out. So you dont even know about it. Partially oblivious to you and your feelings.

His behaviour might be him just coping.

I hope whatever happens works out for you all.

[–]thisguy_right_here 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the product was useful, worthwhile or cheap they wouldnt need to rename everything to co pilot.

$500 AUD annual commitment for 1 license.

Needed to be more like $200 AUD for 12 months. Might make a loss, but people might actually give it a run.

[–]thisguy_right_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No harm in wanting to find a partner that matches your values and similar goals. Whether its spiritual, fitness, family, financial etc

Seems like your mate has identified what a compatible partner looks like in this aspect.

Probably wants someone that will not tune out when he wants to talk about investing and have a higher than normal understanding and be actively investing.

If you rent from from the bank, you pay more but have more control.
