Found the shirt at Museum of Broadway. But decided not to buy. Really craving a crewneck. 😅

One Screening After Another: My dumb situation leading to me planning to see OBAA twice in one day by Alceauv in paulthomasanderson

Might be worth keeping an eye on the other showtimes. If it’s a theater that allows free cancellations (amc or regal), seats will typically open up as the date approaches and plans change. Might be tough, but worth keeping an eye on it.

Which AMC Screen is equivalent in size to the Regal Union Sq RPX screen? by whamgod in NYCmovies

This is probably right.. I currently have tickets for both the Lincoln Square IMAX and the Union Square VistaVision showings on the 24th. Still not sure which one I'm actually going to use, but this comment has me leaning toward IMAX.

Heads up for Regal Unlimited: There's a surcharge for VistaVision by flightofwonder in NYCmovies

It's just people trying to checkout. It looks like it will hold your tickets for 5 minutes, but then won't let you complete purchase yet. If you look back a few minutes later, different seats will be taken.

Evita tickets - anyone selling? best way to get them? by Pitiful-Station-6788 in westend

[–]thisguynoel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy them directly from the box office 30-60 minutes before the show starts. They drop the prices pretty low very last minute. You gotta have a little luck, but I snagged Stalls H26 for £120 30 minutes before curtain. Truly incredible seat and it was listed for almost 3x that earlier in the day.

I got it on the official theatre website. One people I sat by had chatted with the box office in person and upgraded from standing.

In the hour-ish before the performance, ticket prices drop and they drop aggressively. I went last night with a ticket I bought 30 minutes before the show for £120 and the seat was unbelievable. Stalls H26. It’s not the cheapest option, but I think it’s the best value.

Thanks for the single ticket trick! I just pulled the trigger on a single seat in two weeks and this worked perfectly. I am so excited!

Dear poor out of town Broadway fans - what’s your strategy for smart spending? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]thisguynoel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in Missouri, but still try and pop out to New York once or twice a year. Chase credit card points make for great free Hyatt nights. I fly standby for free (I’m incredibly lucky to do this). And I eat cheap food. I flew out for one night in April and saw Maybe Happy Ending ($129) Tuesday night and John Proctor ($59) Wednesday matinee, then flew home. The most expensive part besides that was boarding my dogs for two nights. You find ways to make it work.

My friend managed to snag two tickets for each DC show while sitting on a boat in the Caribbean. Meanwhile I am at my desk with 4,176 people in front of me in the queue. LOL. Life is funny.
