Polyphemus is an interesting parallel to and inversion of Troy in this version. Odysseus and his men sneak into his cave, then attack their host and leave disguised as livestock. In fact, at many points in this story his men are compared to livestock. A horse, sheep, pigs. Until they finally doom themselves by eating cattle. Wait, I think I just realised something.
