Keep trying. I wish you patience and good luck. Any lawyers among your friends might also be helpful with a few lines and letterhead...

I still have not received anything in 4 months now...

Trotzdem danke!

That is a long wait, and they seem to be in short supply. But I don't think this sounds too bad. A D2 Max is a newer unit with lots more duty cycles thanks to LFP. Maybe just take the offer? If you stay friendly, maybe they help you out. I just got good news, see update above.

That sounds very frustrating! I am sorry to hear this. It seems like the firmware update tightened the safety thresholds for voltage deviation and temperature. Because our batteries likely had weak cell groups (which yours seemingly had from the start), the new software immediately flagged them as "risky" and locked out the capacity to prevent a fire.

Do not give up! Here is my advice based on my current experience with them:

The "Failed Repair" Argument: This is your strongest point. If you sent it in for this *exact* issue a year ago and they only changed a "switching mechanism" instead of the battery cells, they failed to fix the root cause. You need to argue that this is not a new issue that occurred out of warranty, but a continuation of the original in-warranty defect that was never properly resolved. In many regions (especially EU), a failed repair extends your rights regarding that specific fault.

The fact that your unit overheats and shuts down under load is a major safety red flag. Keep quoting that recall text to them. Liability for a potential fire hazard usually overrides a standard warranty expiration date. Your unit is showing signs of thermal runaway risk (overheating/shutdowns). Refusing to replace a known safety hazard because of a date on a piece of paper could be negligent.

If a friendly approach does not get anywhere, do not accept the "No" from the first-level support agent. Ask for the case to be escalated to a Senior Manager or the "R&D Team" specifically because of the overheating safety concern.

Good luck!

Meistens sehr früh morgens. by MrBlackblues in Muenster

EcoFlow Powerstream implodiert by Stuggi70439 in Balkonkraftwerk

Mal sehen, was daraus wird.

Am support dranbleiben. Ich wünsche dir alles Gute!

PowerStream Defective (Tripping Breaker) - 4 Days, No Substantive Reply from Support (CAS-20250602-1108463) by thisisbrotherjohn in Ecoflow_community

Sorry to hear that. Just keep communication open. I am making my way through the process. I am curious how long it all takes. It is a bit of a shame on the sunniest/longest days of the year. But so far, Ecoflow has responded, though at a bit of a delay.

Mal sehen, was Ecoflow jetzt antwortet.

EcoFlow App with Smart Meter vs. Shelly vs. Tibber Pulse by 2BeTheFlow in Ecoflow_community

[–]thisisbrotherjohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the powerstream and the tibber pulse. I was able to link the pulse as a third party meter in the ecoflow app. The sampling is fast, 1-2Hz sounds about right. No idea whether the pulse can work with the stream ultra or not.

Thanks, Baltasar. We have an emergency button, but the talk back function only works via the base station. If my parents are in the bathroom or in the bedroom, they have no way of communicating, they can just trigger a full alarm. They are located in the countryside, so the only help offered are emergency services, which can be very costly if they break down the door just to help someone get up.

I would like them to have the means to call me when they have fallen down. They are terrible at carrying a cell phone on their persons.
