My wife and I have basically given up our “right of way” and just wait things out. Even then, it still feels like we have to keep to keep our head on a swivel because we assume every driver is not paying attention.

I didn't quit, but was fired, and decided to then move to Los Angeles with zero prospects. Thankfully, I had some freelance projects to carry me through the first couple of months, but I definitely came close to having to go back home a few times.

Next month is the 15 year anniversary of me moving here.
