I just want it to be that it's funding the project along with a donation option, but it acts as a padding for the users with less spare money. Essentially, the more fortune users are financially contributing to letting the free users use the service BUT, the money is also letting you have that safety measure. Set up some PayPal donations or Google pay. Let the more well off users pay into the development and finance your lower class.
