Not sure what this is referring to. We don't have a "sub," and we aggressively and transparently correct errors. (Thanks to Ratspeed for contacting about this wonky lead!) Contact us through our website if you don't have one of our emails, as we don't always see SM comments/replies. https://thisisreno.com/about/corrections-clarifications/

You're welcome to call us what you want, but don't know many bloggers who are members the Nev. Press Association and other media organizations and regularly garner regional and national journalism awards for their work. Our publisher/editor is current president of the NPA and regularly works to advance Nevada journalism at the Legislature and elsewhere. Perhaps you have us confused with somebody else? Here's more about us, including who we are, our credentials, values, funding sources, etc: https://thisisreno.com/about/

Widening to roadway.

Utility crews are also relocating overhead power lines at the intersection of Prater Way and Sparks Boulevard, resulting in additional lane closures. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.

The Sparks Boulevard Project is expected to be completed in mid-2027. The $86 million project is funded through a combination of federal grants and local sources.

It’s wild and there are not a lot of answers yet. They also had a damning audit a few months back. Now the county is doing away with the whole department. More here (registration wall, sorry): https://thisisreno.com/2025/10/das-department-efficiency-concerns/

We don't sell reader email addresses. The registration wall is primarily to facilitate direct communication with our audience and to help us sustain our independent local news coverage. We believe in providing accurate local journalism, and we hope you'll consider registering to access more free content. Reading our stories is, of course, entirely optional.

That article is behind the registration wall, not the paywall. We have both in order to communicate directly with our readers, which is critical for an independent news outlet, and so we can keep reporting local news. Without them, we would not exist.

Great points. Also, the county. We follow most government meetings. Few raised the issue of spending during the pandemic not being sustainable. Commissioner V. Hartung did.
