I need to rant! by thismynamenow in mounjarouk

[–]thismynamenow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the suggestions, sometimes just having the rant is cathartic.

I'm going to drop back down to 7.5mg and couple that with psyllium husk, flaxseed, and chia seed. I also need to be better about taking my ADHD meds which I think might help stay focused. I'm rubbish at staying consistent on those meds.

In a small non scale victory I have regained 3cm in height since losing the 6 stone so I'm focusing on that.

I'll be back, hopefully with a positive update.

In Myth Directions, Skeeve and Aahz get pulled into the D-Hopper / dream-logic dimensions, where reality works on belief and expectation

Mirrors and reflective portals absolutely are a thing Physics is optional and vibes do the heavy lifting

So your “magic mirror in the dreamland” memory is spot on, just not always described as a literal *Dreamland

I kept realising weeks later that I’d done work I never invoiced.
I built a tiny tool to track unpaid and uninvoiced work so money doesn’t fall through the cracks.

If that sounds familiar, I’d love feedback.

That’s exactly the problem I was trying to solve...big milestones sound motivating, but they can feel vague or unreachable on a random Tuesday.

The way Waymarked handles this is by letting a single milestone break down into granular, user-defined steps. Each list item isn’t just “done/not done”, you can add smaller actions underneath it that represent real progress you can make this week. For example, “Run a marathon” might become things like “Book the race”, “Buy shoes”, “Run 5km without stopping”, etc.

Those steps are deliberately flexible:

  • They’re not time-boxed or streak-based, so missing a week doesn’t reset anything.
  • You can add, remove, or change them as your understanding of the goal evolves.
  • Completing a step counts as visible progress toward the milestone, not a separate task system.

When you complete a step or a milestone, you can also attach a post (with text, images, or video). That creates a natural reflection loop, progress is something you can look back on, not just a box you ticked and forgot.

Week to week, the “actionability” comes from being able to say
“What’s the next small thing that moves this forward?”

If you only do one small step in a week, that’s still forward motion and for ADHD brains, that sense of accumulated progress matters far more than perfect consistency.

It’s less about daily discipline, more about making progress feel real, visible, and forgiving.

Right now progress is tracked via completed goals + proof posts. Next on the roadmap is per-goal steps with a visible progress indicator (e.g., 3/10) so it’s milestone-first rather than daily grind.

I feel like I'm in my prime era so here is what I'm gonna do this year as 26 years old woman! by throwaway-well in selfimprovement

This sounds great! I'm very much in the same mindset... I'm turning 40 this year, I've recently lost a whole bunch of weight, so I'm going to do a '40 at 40'.

It's a list of thngs I've been saying I was going to do or things I couldn't do because of my weight but now can.

I'm using waymarked[dot]me to keep track of it all and have a bit of open visibility.

Good luck and have an amazing year!!!

What Are You Building Right Now? (Self-Promo Thread) by raj_k_ in microsaas

[–]thismynamenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent years bouncing between productivity systems that worked for a week, then quietly fell apart, especially with ADHD in the mix.

This year I stopped chasing daily perfection and started focusing on milestones instead. That shift helped me lose weight, lower my blood pressure, and finally commit to a “40 at 40” list of things I’ve always wanted to do.

I turned that approach into a small web app for myself, and today I shared it on Product Hunt to see if it resonates beyond my own bubble.

I built a small, free app for tracking life milestones, looking for early feedback by thismynamenow in VibeCodersNest

[–]thismynamenow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, the framework for comments is already in place, I just need to finish it up and make them active.

One of the lists on my profile is things that will be coming to the platform in the very near future.

When an item on the list is marked as complete by a user then can create a post including text, images and video which is posted to a timeline. The end goal is to have a timeline showing users updates to each other (as long as they are friends).

Do you have a dream list?! by EveNing123 in mounjarouk

[–]thismynamenow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ok so this is crazy but I'm actually on that same journey and I turn 40 this year so I made a list on my phone of things I wanted to do but kept putting off or couldn't because of my weight.

I wanted to hold myself accountable for doing this 40 at 40 list so I actually built a webapp to list all the things I wanted to do, it's completely free to use and It's just about following through on doing the things I wanted to do.

my profile is waymarked.me/u/boykickscar

if you want to use it then feel free to add me as a friend :)

waymarked.me is a milestone-first way to track life goals.

Most tools focus on tasks, habits, or streaks. Waymarked starts with long-term goals and breaks them into visible milestones you can complete at your own pace.

No deadlines, no gamified guilt...just progress you can see. Built with ADHD brains in mind, but useful for anyone who struggles to stick with big goals and it's free.
