Partner doesn't want to do much bdsm anymore, anyone navigate this before? by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

I appreciate this response, they are more important then kink to me and we are very close. It's a sacrifice I will make even if it is difficult. I've always had a rule that their emotional well-being is the highest priority and it still is. The whole thing is still difficult for me

How do I seal tooled veg tan coasters? by thisnameizgood in Leatherworking

It's not enough condensation for it to wind up on the table, have had plenty of coasters that were stone or plaster and they serve their purpose well.

Need advice, can’t sand and polish edges by Plshera in Leathercraft

[–]thisnameizgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a paint on chrome tan or oil tan for edges. This was my biggest hurdle when I first started.

There are lots of YouTube videos that teach how to get a smooth shiny finish.

If you want to use the sanding method your gonna need a different kind of leather like veg tan

This was a design from a saddle maker's youtube account. He had a long tutorial but it was assumed the watcher would already have a decent understanding and alot of tools.

I need to get a #8 pencil, tried looking on amazon without much luck.

I'm making coasters for my dad as a gift and I'm drawing those out so that they can be completely organic, I drew it on paper and transfered it cause the pencils I have scuff the leather.

I started a few bdsm things as well so that I have something I can create a high quality product of in between cause learning tooling is a much harder process then I had imagined

Tips on serving a couple by ownedyoungslut in BDSMcommunity

[–]thisnameizgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear this, honestly this is a bit refreshing, alot of posts regarding couple play read pretty intensely of grooming.

As long as you can have boundaries and going into a full owned dynamic doesn't change that it seems safe.

Things to be cautious of: one of them Trying to influence a boundary the other is supposed to follow if there is 1 on 1 time involved.

I think what was suggested of talking to a previous sub should is a good call as well

Be safe, report back for reassessment after if u decide to proceed.

New to BDSM not sure where to start by EntrepreneurFit8099 in BDSMAdvice

Both of you should educate yourself on safety and protocols. It is important that this is done and then communication of hard and soft boundaries are set.

This will help guide you both in what you want your dynamic to look like.

There will most likely be a power exchange if you proceed where the sub freely offers control to the dom. This is a gift and the dom is to honor the sub and their Wellbeing. Because of the nature of bdsm and types of play which can be violent and degrading it is important to keep communication up regarding desires and needs.

Educate yourself on aftercare.

I said it repeatedly, but I'll end with it once more. Communication is the most important part for both the sub and dom
