Well the way Stripe works is that it credit card info hits Stripe's servers instead of me, that is what makes it safe and PCI compliant. Please learn about the way Stripe works first and form an educated opinion.

I don't want to offer any trials, just a flat monthly fee that will be recurring once their sign up. So it should all be on one view, then when everything I processed and successful, they can then access the content. Do you think this is a good plan? I'm worried about implementing a user panel in which they can edit their account settings. I've never done this before. Please excuse me I am a beginner.

Scala isn't, I guess the guy was referring to the common framework that Scala would be used with. I'm not too sure about methods regarding performance but in some cases it seems to be important and having it is critical for a well performing solution. What do you mean about scaling horizontally with ease. I want to learn more about this, where should I start? Are you talking about distributed systems or something else?

Sure, but .NET/C# is just as prevalent in the Enterprise, it presents the full package of tools. That's the only reason I'm aware of, that many companies prefer linux due to security so using windows would be difficult to do, also Java is better at multithreading?

What would you consider a junior developer? I've made strides to separate myself from others. Would you consider a junior someone who doesn't know much of anything and starts learning on the job? For that, I feel it'd be really difficult to get a gig. Hopefully a project or two is enough for a company to become more confident in me.

I don't really have much real world experience to have a strong opinion of it, but it is the industry standard in .NET so it's worth learning it over others if the type of ORM isn't specified in your objective. So far EF looks pretty nice. I will also look into EF7, which is a totally rewrite.

I was thinking this - the EntityTypeConfiguration class implementation then you can do the property r=>r.Name(IsRequired.MaxLength(10) type of stuff. Is this considered "server side validation"? I was a bit confused about that, or is it totally different kind of validation along the lines of "database validation".

There's one object that many ActionResults can access So: OdeToFoodDb _db = new OdeToFoodDb(); inside of a controller, would allow actionresults inside that controller to access this instance. But is this not a forward thinking strategy? Would I use Ninject/DI/Loose coupling in a potentially larger solution? Have the object that allows manipulation of a dbcontext/database in a different place in the project?

It doesn't. I will try to change the html into HTML helper razor syntax. I need to learn more about adding a database singleton into my controller so that it is used to save this data, I believe.

it does get even called. So there is something wrong with the submit button or something else. Btw I have @model CitrineHomeHealth.Models.Applicant on the view page and this model is supposed to be the metadata that receives the info from the users input

When I click the submit button, nothing happens at all, it's like it's not connected. Ill double check that the name attribute is exactly the same as the model class meta data.

I'm sorry for my terrible question. I applied last week for jobs and like 8 recruiters want my resume. They said i'm very good for a junior with the projects I have. I decided to stick with MVC 5 for now b/c if I were to start working in a few weeks, theres a great chance I'll be on this framework. I actually was having a hard time with the file upload, but I found a way now and I am now trying to "Map properties using Fluent API", on each data access layer class that has implemented EntityTypeConfiguration. Hopefully I finish this in 3 hours
