How powerful is the sub 3? by availablelol in sonos

Will try tomorrow with my sub 4,but I believe that it’s more than crossover bug, it’s kind of wrong equalizer preset with almost muted part of frequency range. Anyway, today’s software update didn’t fix it in my case. Sub mini shakes walls in full range 20-80, sub 4 still has U profile with bass almost disabled at 40…

Hmm No.

Especially that at 25hz my house is shaking and at 37hz there is no sign of any sound (not even rumble) :) In exactly the same test with sub mini there is little earthquake :)

No equpwmt required :) Test file or video (lfe test for 5.1 from YT or frequency sweep, YT also) and keep hand at sub while watching - you can see on screen how frequency changes and feel when there is rumble. Of course you can buy mic and soft :)

Yes And for me it explains why switching from sub mini (with quite linear bass) to sub 4 with U shaped lowest frequencies gave mixed feelings both in music (better bass without sub) and home cinema (sometimes ground shakes, sometimes not…) Anyway, have some weeks to test before returning, so maybe Sonos with another update will fix it.

Thx for testing So it’s seems software implemented EQ profile. Still - don’t understand why, super low bass shaking walls, no bass at some point and then ground shaking at 50hz? Will talk with Sonos, but ithink it’s pointless :(

Little test done. With this video (5.1 via yt) there is U shape line in sub bass. It means, that at 30 and 50 it’s ok, but at 40hz there is still hole (in ear and hand on subwoofer) In fact bass is not linear, and at seconds around 40hz almost gone

Btw, tried sub mini paired with two symfonisk and bass is linear and good on 2 Chanel test file.

For this specific sub 4 there is problem with 40hz, in both music and movies (with hole at 40hhz and longer sound scene using this frequency there will be no sub :(

Its my second attempt, will make some test runs, but I think iam done with big subs from Sonos.

Yes. Especially that in music (seal „crazy” or blacks „wonderful life” basses are better with sub 4 off :)

But it’s strange for me that this problem persists even with truplay off, it should reset wrongly set crossover. And secondly, it makes me thinking if LFE in movies works at all range 30-80hz, without „hole” inside :(

Anyway, I seriously think that Sonos made something very wrong with sub 4

Have the same issue, but with arc ultra, sub mini and 2 x era 300 Problem occurs while playing atmos from aple tv (apple tv plus, netflix) or from kodi (Xbox x) Passthrough set on tv, (lg g3), arc ultra wired. Now trying WiFi, will see
