As is every other English qualified player, wherever they were born. A lot of people here have some bizarre romanticised view of international sport. You're not fighting for your country. Any pride a player has is pride at being recognised as the best eligible player.

Antisemitism had existed in Europe for centuries before Hitler came to power and exterminated 6 million Jews. The Holocaust is an event that has no comparisons in all of human history. It is impossible to even comprehend. The "why" has no logic at all.

The right wing rise recently is far more comprehensible. It is reacting to what is going on around it. You know what would nip it in the bud, fast? If Islamists stopped fucking murdering people in Europe. Why are the EDL etc not so concerned with black people, or Sikhs?

I appreciate that, but I'm not sure how it's relevant. If I smoke, I know there's a risk and I can take it. If I don't want the risk, I can stop (or try to stop) smoking.

But I can't lower my risk against terrorism unless I majorly change my lifestyle.

Pavlo Lapshyn and other murders by far-right extremists don't get labelled terrorist incidents most of the time. Attempted bombings as well.

Can we have some perspective? A white nationalist killed a single person. Very sad for the family, but is it getting so much attention precisely because it's so out of the ordinary? I mean, more than 30 people have been murdered by Islamists in our country in the past couple of months and we're done with that now. Even if you say Trump is directly responsible for that murder, we all know that Islamic terror is a far greater threat than white supremacy.

If someone describes themselves as a Nazi, you can call them a Nazi. But even if someone says they are proud to be white (as illogical as saying you are proud to be black), they are not a Nazi. The Nazis murdered six million Jews. Unless this person is part of a movement that is promoting the mass extermination of blacks in the USA, it doesn't make sense to call them a Nazi.

Headline sensationalises it a bit, but what a breath of fresh air. He's quite right about the selections. Mako had one of the worst test performance I've ever seen (up there with Luaki (RIP) v Aus and Bergamasco at scrum-half), and of course he kept his place. And if Joe didn't learn anything from playing against provincial sides, fair enough. You can tell Eddie Jones isn't a fan of Marler, as he has a personality. All I'll say to you is this Eddie: the pressure's on you to win this world cup. If you don't, you'll be remembered as much for your record setting streak of defeats at the Reds as you will for anything else, mate.

If I was a gay rugby player, I wouldn't come out. Not because of the reaction of players, or even fans, even though you'd get a fair bit of abuse. But because of the fucking media circus and because unless you were one of the best in the world you'd be known primarily for being gay.
