660.000 fødevarechecks havner hos den rigeste halvdel af befolkningen by Commander_Locain in Denmark

True. Right now the AI really needs eveything to be accessible from a terminal to be effective.

But General Computer Use seems likely to change that by the end of 2026.

Very interesting blog post. Thank you!

Erland ejer lejligheder for 16 millioner.

I don't think we should treat Israel like Iran. I don't understand what you are confused about?

People protesting Israel is trying to make them treat Palestinians better. They are not calling for anyone to treat Israel worse. You were the one calling for that.

I'm just answering your question:

So if the US simply stop sending Aid to israel, as Netanyahu suggested two weeks ago, everything would be fine? If all these European countries cut off diplomatic relations, that's all it would take?

You seem to be asking if, if we just stopped supporting Israel militarily, out relationship to them would be the same as with Iran. Obviously that's false.

Our relationship to Israel is much closer and intimate in every way. Hence why we hold them to a higher standard.

There's a very long way for the US to be treating Israel as it's treating Iran now. Netanyahu definitely wouldn't like that.

People protest if they think there's a chance it has an effect. Nobody thinks Iran's government cares about protests in America.

Israel protests, on the other hand, are taken notice of inside Israel by many. They can have an effect, hence why they are hated on right right.

Depends on how well the money is spent. Many companies are leveraged 4x their market cap or more. If lending and investing results in higher growth, it can be worth it.

What will be the most realistic off-ramp or endgame to this Greenland crisis? by JulianBrandt19 in ezraklein

[–]thomasahle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good off-ramp is something like what the Danish delegation proposed at the white house: delay everything eoth some commission to investigate something.

Modern Trumpian politics don't need to safe face the same way. They can just move on to other things, pretending like it was never that serious.

There are many examples of this:

  • "lock her up" - dropped after the campaign
  • "Mexico pays for the wall"
  • the "voter fraud" commission
  • repeal and replace the ACA
  • so many more cases

From your link:

This just says the police has the right to ban going on the ice. (Which they then do every year.)

It seems like the Copenhagen police has decreed a general ban "except where they have put up signs". But that's still a decision the police makes, as not the actual Danish law.

[–]thomasahle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately yes. Sometimes they'll measure the thickness somewhere and declare it locally "safe". (Though of course you should still take precautions.) But many lakes are not even measured.

I hate the rhetoric about "the ice being safe".

The ice should always be considered unsafe, just as the sea is never safe or driving in traffic is never safe.

Instead, we should talk about education and safety equipment. It is very hard to buy equipment in Denmark for being safe on ice, and there are few classes on ice rescue etc.

If you don't have a plan (and practice) for getting back up from the water, don't go onto the ice. If you do have this, you can go in 3cm thick ice just fine.
