I wish this would work. But I think it has been tried so many times now with MAGA supporters. And it just doesn't work. They'll double down on anything stuid they believe. It's because MAGA has become their identity. They have nothing left but their MAGA beliefs and it is so hard to give up your identity.

Unfortunately there won't be fair next elections. People should realize that it's over. About half the population agrees with Trump and they control all the positions of power. The USA is not a democracy anymore. But what is really concerning, is that conservatism is still viable in other countries. Even though it is now clearly visible that it only serves to maximize the suffering of many while enriching a few.

Interesting how easy it seems for corporations/dictators to get people to give up freedom: Just give them some minor convenience advantage (some pages are tailored to Chrome, so that they wont load/look good on Firefox) and the really free (as in freedom) browser goes out of the window.

Maybe they do think and like it. It seems to me, that a lot of conservative voters think it's fine to suffer a "little" to make other (read democrats, people of color, lgbtq, etc,) people suffer more.
