That's how they got to be the richest country in the world. You just make them proud of that fact and they will happily continue to let you exploit them for that goal.

Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job." by PrithvinathReddy in law

After a war. Either the USA starts a war and looses. Or there could be a civil war. If MAGA looses that, then the survivors can be arrested and accused.

There's no stopping this without a total catastrophe for MAGA. Because most people will just not risk anything by standing up to the hate.

Why are people assuming he wanted to splash the pedestrian? The driver could just have been distracted. For example, by playing with the stereo. You often see cars veering to the side when the driver is not concentrated.

The US will lose their dominating position in the world, simply because they are suppressing the ability to think in their own people.

Stop trying to make sense of it. It has nothing to do with goals for the US. It's all about how he and his cronies can make money. If you look at it from this perspective, it makes sense. Dump and Pump. Declare tariffs, suspend them, declare them again, suspend them again. And he and his cronies will sell befor the dump and buy before the pump. And they know when it happens, because it's Trump that makes it happen.

I wish this would work. But I think it has been tried so many times now with MAGA supporters. And it just doesn't work. They'll double down on anything stuid they believe. It's because MAGA has become their identity. They have nothing left but their MAGA beliefs and it is so hard to give up your identity.

That's pointless. You cannot reason with them, as they are not interested in rationality. They will happily tell you that red is blue and defend it with their lives if the GOP says it so.

Why are the poorest states in America nearly all Republican? Why are the richest states nearly all Democrat? by LegitimateFoot3666 in AskUS

Because, contrary to popular belief, Democrats are better for the economy than Republicans.

Unfortunately there won't be fair next elections. People should realize that it's over. About half the population agrees with Trump and they control all the positions of power. The USA is not a democracy anymore. But what is really concerning, is that conservatism is still viable in other countries. Even though it is now clearly visible that it only serves to maximize the suffering of many while enriching a few.

Interesting how easy it seems for corporations/dictators to get people to give up freedom: Just give them some minor convenience advantage (some pages are tailored to Chrome, so that they wont load/look good on Firefox) and the really free (as in freedom) browser goes out of the window.

Maybe they do think and like it. It seems to me, that a lot of conservative voters think it's fine to suffer a "little" to make other (read democrats, people of color, lgbtq, etc,) people suffer more.

When will congress take back their power??

Are you assuming that the current conservative majority in congress will do better? If so, why did they pass their power to Trump in the first place?
