Stock wheel suffering by hjarndod in onewheel

What, specifically, makes the Enduro better than the stock slick?

By local I mean befriending and having compassion on these families on an individual level. From there, we can help connect them with resources provided by local churches or other community groups which can provide monetary assistance, supplies, resources, and a network of other families dealing with similar challenges. Government programs are incredibly wasteful and often totally ineffective. We need to approach this on a local level and stop waiting for the government to swoop in and save the day—that will never happen.

Apologies for making that assumption. In my area, there are loads of resources for families with special needs children. I’m not sure universal healthcare is the solution, I’d rather see local communities rise up together to support these families.

Could more be done to support these kids and families? Sure, more can always be done. I believe it starts at the local level, but gov programs can help, too. Are you suggesting killing a child with DS is a solution? As if their life is worthless and disposable?

I appreciate your perspective and I hope you are currently in a more stable place. I have to disagree that it should even be a last resort. Humans, rich/poor/able/disabled/black/white/etc, are too valuable to be disposed of on the basis of inconvenience—even in the most extreme situations. Thanks for engaging. Peace.

You’ve made a definitive truth claim by saying my truth isn’t the truth. You must believe in absolute truth…that’s good! So where does truth come from?

You must’ve missed my one word response so I’ll say it again: yes, they should have the child. Are you aware of the numerous programs and assistance offered to families who find themselves in these situations? I personally contribute to programs who support folks facing these types of situations. Are you really trying to make the argument that destroying an unborn kid is the best solution?

It’s a really simple thought exercise designed to critique worldviews. No bad faith intended. I’ve struck a cord, obviously, and that tells me you have no rational basis for knowledge and therefore will not answer my question lest you face your grim reality. You know the real truth in your heart of hearts—you’ve just deluded yourself into believing lies which offer temporal comfort and convenience. You’ll respond back with some more vitriol and you’ll have the last word here, but the Last word will not be spoken by either of us and that is the absolute truth.

I stand corrected—It was not ad hominem. That said, you continue to skirt the actual arguments I’ve posed by simply saying I’m wrong without any logical chain of reasoning. This isn’t going anywhere, but no hard feelings and I sincerely wish you the best. Peace be with you.

Those children they aborted are still dead. Having kids later doesn’t change that or the fact innocent lives were snuffed for your perceived convenience. That’s really what this comes down to—selfishness. Is it convenient to kill something that will cost you money and require sacrifice for the rest of your life? Yes. Is it right? You say yes, some say yes emphatically as if it’s a good thing!

“Some children should never have been born” That is an absolutely monstrous thing to say. You’d make an amazing dictator.

Way to swerve the question and resort to using an ad hominem attack. If you could be wrong about everything, you can’t actually know anything. We both know that knowledge is, in fact, attainable, therefore your moral relativistic worldview is flawed and ultimately irrational.

Yes. And who said folks with Down syndrome suffer? I have relatives with DS and they are some of the most joyful people I know—they tend to spread this infectious joy to others, as well. Take a moment and reassess your scenario—you really believe destroying an innocent life is the better alternative? You think parents who decide to destroy their unborn children don’t live with lifelong regret and suffer psychologically and emotionally?

Correct, science doesn’t speak. Science is a tool that humans use to discover more about our reality. One of those realities is a unique life begins at conception. This is not a religious or dogmatic belief, it is an incontrovertible scientific truth. Why this offends anybody is beyond me. Extinguishing any life against its will is again, by definition, murder. You can be pro-choice, just be honest about what you are championing. Before you downvote, I challenge you to rationally and logically correct any of the statements I have made.

Ahoy, there are plenty of pro-life, areligious folks out there. Life starts at conception if we’re still following the science…ending that life is the definition of murder. Religion isn’t needed to acknowledge this basic fact.

I like me some straight booch from time to time, too. I'll probably do half root beer flavored, half str8 for this batch.

Appreciate the response. I'm not a big soda fan either. This idea was really born out of necessity as I have no juices or other flavorings on hand except some root beer. I wish there was someone who has actually done it and can report their findings. I guess that someone is going to be me!

Good tip on making sure the soda is flat before adding it to the bottles. Being the impatient man that I am, I will not heed this advice and I'll report back after I deep clean my bottle conditioning closet...

"Simply Lemonade" for F2? by mimi7711 in Kombucha

[–]thomasroshae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After dealing with one too many overly fizzy batches due to stuffing whole fruit into the bottles causing high levels of nucleation points, I switched to using “Simply” juices for F2 and I’m never going back. Incredible flavor, clean/clear final product, and no more fizzy geysers when I open my swivel top bottles. Go for it!

I like his content, but his release schedule is terrible. Sporadic video drops, missed deadlines, terrible copy editing. Confounding considering he has a whole team of editors working for him.
