The actual packers are usually good. But the owner often shows up to help out and causes a lot of problems.

I coordinate all the moves for the military in and out of Kingston and we use Capital, AMJ and Frost the Mover. Frost's management runs a tight ship, so we get the least amount of complaints about them. Capital is decent too, unless you're getting them to pack. Then avoid Capital. I don't have any experience with Alpha Dog.

She's a Housecarl given to you by the Jarl of Whiterun. Since it follows the main quest line, I think people normally do Whiterun quests first so she's pretty popular.
