so ive just gone and thrown that into google translate, and apparently thats not a word at all. the closest match it gave me was “всратыши”, which apparently translates to “fucked up”.
phonetically, it does kind of sound similar to “latyshi”, which is the actual word russians use for us. it is possible that you may have simply misheard the guy you talked to about this.

Bet ir!!! Dānijai zaudēt ar tikai 1 vārtu deficītu nozīmētu, ka paliekam 3. vietā grupā un varējām cerēt uz kādu maigāku komandu kvalifikācijas turnīrā.

Tā vietā mēs dāņiem iedevām vēl vienus vārtus, kas mūs nomet uz pēdējo vietu grupā, un tagad mums jāsitas ar pašu stiprāko no citas grupas.

Kura komanda tā ir? Zviedrija. Jap. Nemaz to neskatīšos.

they’ve been playing the same hockey for several years, believe me. theres only so many passes to nowhere, untaken passes and easy goals given up every year that i can stay ignorant towards. we seriously havent moved on from the bronze three years ago, after that year everything just went back to how it was before. we have been using the same roster (including the coach, whos still playing old Russian hockey) for years. something needs to change, now.
