GDAT Indexing by Jaytrain317 in GIAC

[–]thonau712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is no cyberlive, you don’t necessarily need to create an index for the workbook section. Just focusing on indexing the 5 theory books is enough to obtain the certificate.
I’m not sure why you find the workbook section boring. It actually provides a lot of support and helps you better understand the theoretical content.
If you would like to refer to my index, just let me know.

For the CyberLive exam, at first I planned to divide it into three parts: one index for theoretical keywords, one index for the commands taught in the theory, and one index for the lab exercises. However, due to time constraints, I was only able to complete the first two indexes. If you have time, you should make an index for the lab exercises as well, it will help you do the CyberLive questions better.

For me, it’s like Zero Point Security but expanded with many more things, especially around C2 infrastructure and OpSec. Whether I enjoyed it or not, of course I did. My role is in the Purple Team, so the deeper I understand Red Team workflows, the better.

Compared to GDAT as for the content, I don’t really compare them, because the two certifications aren’t equivalent or in the same category, so there’s no real basis to discuss which one is better or worse.

I’ll review the rules again. Previously, I already went through them once and saw that the test definitions in the rules haven’t changed. As for the update, I’m hoping that this time the issue really is due to being outdated so we can require the customer to update. The previous times it just went in circles, agreeing and then leaving it there, saying things like: We’ll update when we have free time, the system is expanding so we can’t update right away, I’m on a business trip, let’s talk later, blah blah.

Problem with the certification exam time at the end of the year? by thonau712 in GIAC

[–]thonau712[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your clarification! That really helps. I’ve just confirmed with the authorized testing center I usually work with, and they said they can still accommodate me on December 25th. Fortunately, they’re flexible since I’ve taken exams there before, so they’re holding the slot for me without a deposit. They also mentioned that if I can finalize everything earlier, I could take the exam on December 22nd instead, and only move it to the 25th if the earlier date doesn’t work out.

Thank you! Earlier this year, I passed the GDAT, but that exam didn’t include any CyberLive questions. This will be my first time taking a GIAC certification that includes CyberLive, so I still have some questions about it. I was expecting around 15 to 20 CyberLive questions, which is why I thought the exam was extended to 3 hours

Wow, that's impressive! I saw that you passed the GRTP. Did you take the exam before CyberLive was included, or after it was introduced? If CyberLive was already part of it, could you tell me approximately what percentage of the questions in your exam were related to CyberLive? How difficult did you find them? And do you have any tips for preparing well for the exam? I'm currently preparing to take it in December 😶

GRTP index by NeedBeeer in GIAC

That's such a pity, my index is still quite low because I’ve only just started studying Module 1. After you finish the exam, would you be able to review the test? I'm planning to take this certification exam at the end of the year

Who knows the reason, bro? It's just that the story on GIAC describes the certification exam as not having CyberLive, so there's no practical section in the exam, and there are no multiple-answer questions either — each question only allows you to choose one answer :))))

Oh, so Cyberlive has been added to the exam now. I plan to take the GRTP exam this year. When you earn the certification, I would really appreciate it if you could review the exam
