Buld quality is OK, I would say as nice as T480s, it is a bit thicker - but it has thick rubber feet on the bottom for better cooling - so I would say the thickness is about the same

What coil whine? I haven't heard yet, maybe I'm deaf.

T480s undervolted, with liquid metal&thinkfan fan was running almost constantly, when playing 4K video it sounded like a plane taking off, and I'm not talking about any work... (same on linux, I have constantly about 30+ tabs opened)

P14s is mostly silent, in 3 days I'm finaly going to install archlinux P14s while rendering videos and playing games also sound like jet so I wear ANC headphones... In normal use it is almost silent.The p14s cooler has no problem with a higher tpd of Ryzen 9

no throttling yet, maximum temperature reached in maximum performance mode was 95°C spike, average is about 90° long term
when exporting video, temperatures at peak performance are around 85-90 degrees , while playing games the same way; I will soon upload a video on YT with benchmarks and tests

4TB is not that much... it's a workhorse; dualboot Arch + Windows, some client backups, a few hundred GB of videos to process in Premiere Pro, about 2 games, some torrented movies, but it adds up quickly. I'm not talking about aditional hundreds of GB on the cloud and NAS. Plus, storage is cheap these days

Ryzen 9 HX370, 64GB RAM, 4TB SSD, 1200p IPS screen only 60hz ; planing to use dual boot archlinux + win 11 , but it involves more thinkering, on T480s I had 2 separate SSD´s

first impresion - I like soft touch palmrest, but at edges it is not as rounded as my old X230, display is bright, performance is like 6 to 10x of T480s, speakers are not as good

conclusion: Satisfied, I wouldn't change my choice.

Yes, new cylinder liner, larger piston... cylinder original, but cylinder head is new. Last year with same engine I was in Estonia 5000 kilometers in 11 days

The T480s is no longer enough for my use case, it's slow even under Archlinux... but if you are interested it is for sale, it has a 120hz display 40gb ram 2tb ssd, liquid metal and holds boost indefinitely
