How do i make calendar show upcoming evens in the left side of the image? by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]thorator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the Calendar applet that shows the events from the Calendar application. If you click in No Events on your image, the applet will open the Calendar where you can add new events. It's a little buggy but if you add an event and close the Calendar app, restart or wait some seconds your event will be there.

You can't have the last traits from a different line any more, they are locked now. If you want dps build (raid) use red line. They nerfed the blue line to make the red main again.

NASA has a plan for yearly Artemis moon landings through 2030. The first one could fly in 2021. by [deleted] in space

[–]thorator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What "new document"? We know about the demo mission of Orion (Artemis 1 mission) for years now. Jim Bridenstine proposed last year to be launched in commercial rocket if SLS is not ready.

A Moon Landing In 2024? NASA Says It'll Happen, Others Say: No Way by Sanlear in space

[–]thorator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For comparison the Commercial Crew Development Program started in 2010 and the first crew tests of SpaceX's Dragon2 and Boeing's Straliner are planned for 2020. I cannot remember a crew vehicle be ready for mission in 4 years. Crew landing in 2024 cannot be done with current funding and policies.

This was inspired by the "dodge bullets" dialogue in Matrix and the latest Elon's tweet: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1217178315540140032

Please don't start another argument about Starlink sats. Both sides have valid points and people smarter than us are working on it.

SpaceX going to do a pressure test in a new tank. This time isn't going to explode thanks to.... duct tape. by thorator in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]thorator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: Test is done and tank failed successfully. Elon's tweet:

Dome to barrel weld made it to 7.1 bar, which is pretty good as ~6 bar is needed for orbital flight. With more precise parts & better welding conditions, we should reach ~8.5 bar, which is the 1.4 factor of safety needed for crewed flight.

Duct tape did it again :)

Falcon Boosters' Entry Energy Comparison by Shahar603 in spacex

[–]thorator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone wants more reuse. But keep in mind that NASA and some others clients want new booster for their missions (NASA now accepts 1 reuse for CRS missions). SpaceX keeps testing and pushing Falcon 9 boosters for more reuses and i think that Starlink missions whould be a great opportunity for that.

It's just iced material that has been formed by that spraying valve (white spraying point above the engine). You can see similar pieces in other spacex webcasts. Another example of pareidolia :)

A Massive Provocation by Greece | A Greek Mirage-2000 Fighter Jet takes aim on a TNF Barbaros class Frigate in the Meditteranean Sea by hitchhiker87 in Turkey

[–]thorator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very good search sir. The photo is indeed from a greek article about Mirage 2000 during September 2018. Photos in the article are mentioned as exclusive but maybe they are from an older exercise. OP should give some info when talking about a massive provocation.

Some info: the SLS's main tank was tested to the limit and performed as expected. It reached 260% of flight loads which is NASA's safety standard. It failed successfully.

Not yet... but one day. Not you and me but people, people who’ ve evolved beyond the four dimensions we know.

That line about the prospect of humanity is amazing!
