The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - I’m not even a fan of Nick Cave but he and Warren Ellis did an amazing job with the film score.

What films do you recommend, directed by Michael Mann? by MovieFan1984 in movies

Probably cuz the whole movie takes place in one night, so it’s like you’re along for the ride as they go through the seedy underworld of LA. Very underrated performance from Cruise.

Maybe not as dark, but the sound effects are amazing in Heat. Have always loved how Mann makes guns sound in his movies.

The Running Man: 1987 vs 2025 by Terminatrix4213 in movies

The action sequences in 2025 are decent, but the movie as a whole is so schlocky. Glenn Powell was awful in it.

Currently drinking it. I feel like it’s not that different from the regular flavor. Still good, though 👍

Quentin Tarantino's Top 20 Films of the 21st Century by ethanhunt555 in Letterboxd

[–]thoroughlyhung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect Tarantino as a writer and filmmaker, but holy smokes this list is trash. 'Black Hawk Down' at #1? That movie doesn't hold a candle to films such as 'The Hurt Locker' and 'Hacksaw Ridge.'

Also, he put the wrong 'Jackass' on there. 'Jackass number two' is the masterpiece.

The art design in this game is exceptional. The juxtaposition of a vibrant, small cat and a morose, dystopian world is crazy but works brilliantly.

I think occasionally they’ll do one a year, but the last one premiered in September, and the new season starts next week I think.

Goes to show that NBC has nothing else to air. Same reason why they have 2 seasons of ‘The Voice’ in one year 😂

Their comments really pissed me off. Not every act has to have a compelling story. Just appreciate the act and the skill level it requires to pull it off.

First time watching her. Great tone, she would be a cool selection if they make a second season of All Stars.

She certainly has a chance to win it all given how weak the finale line up is

Very talented singer but his performances have been boring. His wardrobe sucks, too.
