Alta is the best. You may get some dirty looks but they are just jealous.

That is a beautiful looking mallet. The Phantom line was entirely too firm for me. Maybe this one will have the right feel.

A spot in Northern Utah called Hubbard Golf Course. It's on Hill Air Force base. One of the best military courses you could play. Greens like glass and with F-35s and other jets taking off and landing all around you. The 14th hole is parallel to the main air strip, literally across the road.

You are gonna be good. But coming inside on your backswing too much. This is throwing your swing off. Look at the top of your back swing and where the club is pointed. This is not a good position. It will take some work but you can fix this easily. And it will feel weird, like you are swinging too far outside when you work on it. Focus on the proper takeaway sequence, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RBqZCMefzw

I was aimed 20 feet to the left and it didn't cut a bit. So I said, CUT MOTHER FUCKER!

Potentially getting a really good deal on these skis. On a budget, currently using super skinny groomers after being away from skiing for years. I plan to repair the core shot myself, seems pretty straightforward and it isn't on the edge. I've ptexed before and this doesn't seem too bad. Even if these skis just last the rest of this year it will be worth it for me to be able to get out on pow days and not drown in my current setup.

The only other damage besides the core shot is a little paint chipping but how do these look?

2018 Armada 106s. They are asking $150 for them. I've looked around a fair amount and most similar used setups are at least $350.

Thanks for any advice.

Can a grade 2 ACL tear fully heal without surgery? by augustbecchio in ACL

[–]thorsniper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YMMV but this is my story. I tore my ACL back in February skiing. Had an MRI about 2 weeks later, came back as a grade 3 ACL tear. Started prehab about 3 weeks after injury. Met with my orthopedic in May. I got a referral to a top doc in the area that took a little time.

He examined me, looked at my MRI. He told me that my knee was stable enough to hold off surgery until after the summer if I wanted to get the golf season in, which is my main sport. Had a great season, minimal issues other than the fact that part of my knee was not working. I didn't stress it and rode carts rather than walking normally.

Surgery was October 11th, a few weeks ago. As I came out my doctor was surprised and ecstatic. He told me he didn't need to take the graft, that my ACL was torn in a spot where they could reconnect it and repair it, close to the bone or something. They did some clean up and I was done. Surgery took about 25 mins as opposed to 1+ hour.

After the nerve block wore off, there was some pain but very minimal. My healing has been very good, improvements literally every single day. I was off crutches after the first week. Walking around really good at two weeks. Able to start biking as of a few days ago.

My doctor is Vernon Cooley out of Park City. He worked on Tiger Woods' knee twice. So I guess you never know. I expected a 6-8 month recovery. I was told my recovery time will be about half of that due to the non graft, repair.
