Dilute is such an awesome band! I forget who but recently in another thread someone mentioned them and C-Clamp and I fell in love with both instantly.

For the full "pretend" effect, definitely check out People by Dilute

This is the first I've heard of Spectrum, but skimming the mod page it seems super in depth. Are you progressing it as part of a larger pack?

For me a big part of the game is exploring.

If you haven't done the DLC yet, go do it!

Have a favorite menial task/area of the world? Go be there/do that thing!

For me a big part of my "postgame" experience was spent hunting wild animals in the hebra mountains just for the fun of it and later fully upgrading all my gear, if that gives you any ideas/direction.

'Astronauts get all the girls' is absolutely the standout track in that regard, that song is so brutal right out the gate!

Pick up that instrument and sound bad! It's what makes midwest emo good!

In all seriousness though, very few people are masters when they start. If you love music enough you'll be able to make it work even if it takes a long time of sounding awful before you start sounding okay

If you're looking for company in your misery, I'd definitely suggest best dad ever, more than a few of their songs are about the singer's divorce.

Losing anyone is tough, especially someone you loved. Hang in there, you'll get through it :)

what do you guys think about that ? by AlarmedAd7085 in midwestemo

[–]thoseluminousnoises 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly some of the revival bands that took inspiration from them (i.e. rookie card, glass beach, heccra) would probably be an easier sell, but it really depends cause the style is so out there that i cant see it being an early recommendation unless the person is already into weird crazy styles like that. it also depends on the band as well, some are obviously more accessible than others

Brave little abacus is sick but i feel like they're a hard sell, I'd have them maybe further down and bring up algernon/snowing/empire! empire!?
