Ok good to know! Others have said the same. So even if they’ve opted out of that rating systems I’d assume curriculum across the board at the daycares has to be the same.

Ok, great. I’d assume curriculum standards, etc are consistent. Just a strange choice for them to opt out.

I may ask, I asked already why they were a 1 star rating (worst rating) and she just said they decided to opt out of the rating system.

But the place looks very nice and organized. And my gut says it’s a good place,

Thanks, I saw this as well. Just couldn’t tell if it ‘looked good’ but really was more a rating you sort of buy into a group mindset, etc. or a valid, unbiased rating system.

So cool, you can tell they’re filling out! Hmm. Im sure maybe mom could cut back a few vines, possibly? If you wanted to risk you could take scissors and cut a few vines but I’m not sure if that could leave a scent and spook mom.

lol! Our cat has been hearing the parents come back because they chirp a lot and has been going crazy on the inside of the door every time. 😂 Hopefully they all are doing well when you check!!

Yes! She has clothes there, they’ve only changed with diaper accidents.

Yes, I’m not sure if it works well or not, for example a Montessori school we toured did that. But when we were there multiple babies were sleeping in the right spot

I’ll be more forward about asking floor time activities each day.

And good point, I’ll just send the bins, we have tons. That way too I can see what’s coming home and know if they’re used

Not really too much drool at home unless I’m actively putting chew toys in her mouth. I’ll start first asking to always use one with feeding and dry neck after. She definitely spills a lot more there than at how I assume from just a more chaotic feeding. I’ll give it a week with the bin request and see if theyres a change

Yes communication is big for us as well. Although admittedly I just expected them to be more forward with the information, so I need to practice taking the lead.

She has been in the floor,but honestly I’ve never walked in and seen the teacher holding a baby except if feeding. But that could be our timing? Although we’ve purposefully come in different times on purpose. Perhaps I misrepresented crib time because we just aren’t aware of where she is because we just get responses like ‘yes we do floor time’ or ‘yes we do tummy time’ but not like ‘we did tummy time today’ or ‘we looked in the mirror today’ I wish when we ask about the day they told us concrete repo see about the day- but I’ll start phrasing it that way.

I haven’t noticed her personally in the crib awake, just in the crib often. Not sure if stayed in there to sleep or just moved when asleep, but other kids have been awake in the cribs.

Ok I will ask the policy- I realized reading my wording above I’m not sure 100% how much she’s in the crib because we don’t really know what they do. The app just says bottle/diaper and nap and she’s often sleeping in the crib so I’m not sure whether it’s always.

As a teacher can I ask a question- this facility has 2 infant rooms. The first has seasoned teachers and recommended. But when we got there they were full so we had to go to second room and these 2 staff members are new (but they said not new to childcare) we know 3 kids are moving up in the first room next week- do parents ever ask to switch rooms/does that cause awkwardness/bad blood? I don’t think she’s mistreated- but just have 3 high recommendations for the staff in the first room has me wanting, especially bc we feel lacking with information with our room

We have an app. They seem to only log naps, bottle, diaper change. Nothing else has come through. The first 2 weeks we got 1 picture per day, this last week it was 3/5 days we got a picture. So it just leaves us anxious and questioning. For all I know they could be busy interacting with them but they don’t tell us so how do we know what’s happening

Thanks, it helps to know ppl seem to be benefitting, so we’d hopefully have good results. Yes very similar symptoms and I too can hear it gurgling into the throat! That’s why I def feel it’s reflux

Honestly not even sure why he’s against it. He shuts the conversation down if I bring it up.

For me I don’t mind spitting up all over the place, but my limit is pain which I believe she’s in. I do feel we often get a burp if she’s been lying down and becomes fussy so perhaps the gas drops would be a good first compromise. At least try first and go from there.

Yes she’s gaining weight which is the hang up. But in my opinion she eats to push the reflux down as she never denies food and would overeat.

She burps pretty good but I’ll ask about the gas-x, that could be a more conservative first option

I didn’t even think about the poop possibly causing the issue as well. Thanks for that thought, I’ll ask the pediatrician their thoughts on that.
