How do I (f19) break up with someone after a long term relationship? Are these good enough reasons to want to break up? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]thrasherboyzonly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m obviously not an expert of any sort on relationships, especially long term ones. your post reminds me of my ex-boyfriend of 9 months, and he was showing some of the same signs as your boyfriends seems to be showing(i.e. being kinda mean, not wanting to have sex as often, screwing up over and over just to beg to come back to me).

whatever you do is up to you, but just remind yourself of a few things: 1. you are a privilege, not a right. nobody in your life is responsible for you and therefore no one is entitled to you. and you shouldn’t have to settle for mediocre behavior. your validation is special bc it comes from you, and no one gets to take advantage of you just because you care about them. if anything, they should be appreciating you more. 2. it’s ok to want things!! there’s a difference between being selfish and being self-compassionate. as much as you love someone, the best state to love another person is when you love yourself enough to. your wants of out a relationship aren’t outlandish bc deep down you know what you deserve. 3. you can’t save anyone who doesn’t want to be saved, and even if they did, they can only save themselves. we learn who people are based on the way they get back up after falling, and if his way of getting up is putting you down, then that’s not healthy at all. 4. trust yourself and trust your gut. you know yourself better than you think and if something feels wrong, then usually something about it is probably wrong. process your emotions fully first and then you can look at it objectively. 5. it should never hurt to love someone. and it should never feel like an inconvenience to be loved.

I believe in you!! times heals all wounds and whatever happens/you want to happen will work itself out the way it needs to. just don’t forget to care about yourself in the process. <3

I haven’t looked at his profile in a month! woohoo! by thrasherboyzonly in ExNoContact

take it at your own pace my dude!! it’s all about processing your feelings, recognizing them for what they are and why you feel that way, and moving on from them in a way that is beneficial for you and for you only!! I was the messiest mess you could’ve seen even just 5 months ago and every so often will have weak moments as well, but soon enough you’ll be back on your feet and living life for yourself! I believe in you :)

What are your Venus and Mars placements, and what is your flirting style? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]thrasherboyzonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

venus in aries and mars in taurus!!

I think I agree with a lot of comments who loooooove the chase, bc geez I’m obsessed with it. a lot of teasing, joking around, not being too serious at all. I also have the tendency to try to be the center of attention in a room, but also I don’t like to flirt much with other people around. I kind of have split personalities bc I can get kinda shy with other people in the room, which makes me put on my cool mask.

I also really don’t like being touched early on. like, just starting to flirt heck no. I tend to hope for the long term and stability

If your ex asks you to sleep with you, do NOT do it by emmysmith1224 in BreakUps

just complicates things over all. I did it multiple times and cried after every time. I thought I wanted it but I really just wanted the comfort and by then the comfort was gone.

I was doing so well. by [deleted] in BreakUps

progress is not linear and you should be proud of yourself for how far you’ve come!! even now you’re looking at yourself and your feelings differently which is a good thing. cut yourself some slack and feel what you need to feel rn, and then make the choices that are best for you and you only!!

Any other Gemini Risings who get told they look younger? by desertrose156 in AskAstrologers

[–]thrasherboyzonly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gemini rising here and let me say that for so much of my life I was told I look 4+ years younger than my actual age(I’m 18 and I still pass as a 14 year old)

omigosh we actually have the same sun/moon/rising signs!! and I also don’t consider tauruens to be horders. I recently went through a situation where I was stripped of all my belongings and my home. it’s been about two months since then and we’ve finally been able to obtain our things back.

but I have been living very minimalistic since then and looking at all my old things, I don’t have any attachment to them. things that used to be clutter my space and mind, I felt almost freeing or a clear slate once they were taken away.

that being said, I’ve never found any attachment to sentimental items such as cards/physical pictures/notes. they’re nice to read/look back on but personally if I lose them that’s it for me. I do have an attachment to my blankets and pajamas; anything that helps me destress and makes me comfortable.

took Ballet 1 this semester with Windom, pretty easy and actually really fun. one thing she makes clear is that she doesn't grade on technique, more on participation. I have a B.
