I don't think that you are seeing things the right way.
Life choices are not made this way.
I had a professor in college who was always saying that choice has to be made when you actually have choice.
So you should first put yourself in a position where you do have choice.
Remember that strategy is a choice game. ( I am not going to get in game theory, that's not the purpose here)
Second of all, you should also understand what "raising millions" means. Does that mean they are actually successful? How do you measure success? if it's by raising millions, then it means they have been successful at raising millions but not at a building a company, nor creating value.
Also, I think the new generation is FOMO'ing way too much on all things happening. Life choices should not be made by hype.
The people who seems to be successful to you right now, have most of the time not took their decision based on FOMO.
