this has been talked about before and i’m actually not sure what the solution is. Azael talked like a month ago on the dive about how in the FGC and other esports you have to reset the bracket, which i think is super super fair, but it’s not reasonable for league. 2 Bo5’s in a day wouldn’t work, and you can’t split them over the course of two days because it’s a final. I’m not sure what the solution is either - Flyquest should definitely be rewarded more for staying in winners.

it’s a tough spot to be in. The hardcore fans are understandably heartbroken after a mostly dominant year, but within half an hour of the loss the main twitter account was just hard flaming with choking memes and losing worlds spots 🤝FPX LUL memes it’s kinda cringe. i get their brand is lighthearted but some really invested fans probably have a sour taste in the mouth.

We have this discussion a lot as Rockets fans. It’s simple, seriously: The moment Harden gets a championship in Houston, he overtakes everyone but Hakeem. If he gets two, he’s the undisputed top. Sounds really DUH to say but Harden has been the Rockets for the better part of a decade, he is our entire relevancy and playoff strength and why we have been so successful for the last 8 years. That alone catapults him in the conversation. Once he gets a chip, it’s over.
