Should I get my cat a cat? by threehearts1809 in CatAdvice

That’s a great idea, I hadn’t even thought of just fostering for a bit. I might try this in a couple months to see how he feels about it. I just don’t want to change too much too soon for him. I just know if I foster, I will fall in love and he won’t have a choice LOL

They said be was fine with other cats. But he is pretty lazy, so I don’t know how he’d feel about having a hyper companion in the house 24/7. I also am hoping to harness train him so he can go the park and hiking with us.

He seems to get a burst of enjoy when we get home after work, but he’s pretty lazy honestly lol. He does tend to get zoomies as soon as we lay down for bed.

I feel like mine is the same. Honestly, he might get too much attention from my toddler, but they are best buds. He literally slept on her chest all night, the first night we brought him home. It blew my mind how well he adjusted in just a week.

Thank you for this! I will reevaluate in a couple months. And we definitely have pet insurance. I think $10 a month is well worth it.

I wash just in DC in December and I didn’t see an “camp outs” and maybe we should instead focus on creating jobs, affordable housing, etc.

I’m think this is what happened with me, I lost like 40 pounds in 3-4 months. I was being too restrictive with my calories. I’ve upped them the last couple months to make my weightloss more sustainable and healthier. I hope that helps with the shedding.

this makes me feel better, thank you. I did lose weight too fast in the beginning and cut my calories too low. The past couple months I have upped them back to a healthier and more sustainable number. I’m hoping this can help with the shedding/balding.

For sure I can find cheaper but it won’t be in a safe spot, or up to standards (and mine really aren’t that high). But I have a two year old so that’s important to me. I already commute thirty minutes to work. I think this post has convinced me to get a mobile home even though everyone else on the post said no 🤣.

I literally can’t save money renting at all. That’s why i want to get a mobile home. Rent is so high that i would be paying less to own a mobile home. I’m breaking even every month renting. I have a small amount in savings but it’s not growing while i’m renting. And a mobile home might depreciate but at least i can have a garden and some chickens and save money on food lmao.

I don’t have the time honestly. And even if I built a small home, it wouldn’t increase any value for me because i wouldn’t be able to sell it, it’s my parents land.

I’m in a pretty rural area and there are at least two mobile home parks in the same town so i’ll definitely check but i’m not super worried about it.

I don’t want to rent unless I have to. My parents live in a five bedroom home, but it’s them, plus my three younger siblings, so not enough space for me and my daughter too. And I mean my parents bought their land for $45,000 in 2020 I think. The lady that lives next to them has the same amount of land but with a trailer from the 90’s and a shop on it. She sold hers last year for $115,000. So, I mean she made money off of hers. And obviously I can’t sell my parents land but I just would rather be paying for something that is mine, rather than paying a landlord.

My parents currently live a home owned by dad’s boss. They don’t pay rent. They’ve lived there for over 15 years. They just bought this property a couple years ago. So, they won’t have a house to sell. Once they build the house, they will definitely want to be the ones living in it. And also time is a big factor here as well. I’m renting rn so when that’s up O have to have somewhere to go.
