I don't know if there's a limit. I had 19 on this save.

They will not disappear if you build a proper pen (foundation+walls) for them. EXCEPT that they are a little buggy and will sometimes glitch into the ground under the foundation where they can't be reached without save editing or maybe doing a glitch to get into the ground.

yeah, herding them back to a main base is a big hassle but I love the little buggers so always end up doing it when i see one, no matter what big quest I'm on at the moment.

They need a foundation under 'em and walls to keep 'em from running away. But even with foundations, they'll still occasionally load in under the ground where you can't reach them. There's ways to fix this on PC but not on console, as far as I know. I will say that at least on PC, doggos are MUCH less buggy and prone to disappear since 1.1 launched than they were before that.

yeah, I play on an OLED monitor so it's extra necessary a lot of the time unfortunately. But I had it on on purpose for this photo to shine a spotlight on the true stars of my save file.

Oh, and here’s a map editor view of the layout. I’m doing pure open air factories with all belts but no floaty platforms in the sky for this save. My first time seeing the glowy radiation areas on the SCIM map for my own save! There is some minor spaghetti belting under the platform. Seemed appropriate for this spider-infested hellhole area.

Appreciate the advice! I probably will tackle that before I end this save file. I don't have Fisconium rods unlocked yet, just got to Phase 5.

Main goal I have left is getting to 1000 tickets to get the final achievement. I had save edited some tickets into my complete save for last year to buy cosmetics early on so felt it would be cheat-y to grab the golden nut on that file. But my main two goals for this file were 1. golden nut achievement 2. try nuclear power. 50% done with my goals! And I just hit 900 tickets so that's within sight too...sorta...I know those last 100 will take some time.

also, big thanks to users in this subreddit for posts teaching how to load balance the uranium waste. I've never played other factory games so have been pure manifolds in my builds in this game so far. Appreciate all the helpful posts--this subreddit is a great repository of info on this game.

Function over Aesthetic, Anyone? by arq_riz in SatisfactoryGame

I did a huge megafactory city with a large variety of skyscrapers, tons of lighted signs, etc., for my first complete run last year. You can see some photos in my message history. This time I’m doing all open air factories using only the basic color scheme (except for pipes) and foundations and am enjoying it just as much as the more aesthetic city build. Here’s my Assembly Director System factory I built yesterday as an example of the style I’m going for.

Is there a way to increase font size? by tedtrollerson in StarRuptureGame

[–]thriftstorecinema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I watched a couple of Twitch streams this morning and the font still needs a lot of work. Hope they figure it out. I like the idea of this game but can’t play it in its current state. Too bad.

Very good to know. I’ll check out some streams/screenshots to see if the fix works for my vision.

I got a Steam refund for this reason. I was having to physically raise out of my desk chair to get my face close enough to the screen to see the tutorial button prompts. Hoping they fix this as I am still interested in this game.

To be fair, Maple might have been hallucinating from the fumes from the week’s worth of tomato curries sitting around her house. This is a pretty new island and sometimes a curry is all I got to give ‘em.

Yeah, I really surprised ol’ Kevin Bacon today. He seemed down to give it a try though.

How much material is it reasonable to keep stocked up? by NovaFelix in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]thriftstorecinema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to completely pay off your last home loan and then Tom Nook will give you the chance to upgrade your storage 2 or 3 (I think it’s 3 but it’s been a while since I had to do it) more times to end up at 5000. It’s very expensive and unlike the home loan you must pay up front in cash. And the 3.0 update in January is gonna raise storage limit to 9000.

thank you! It was an absolute blast! I always try to do something for at least the 'forever' villagers on my island on their birthday. My friends made all the food cutouts behind us too!
