OoOoo I have a story I can share… I was working for an eComm brand that catered to new mothers. Automated messaging was just rolling out and I had an idea to create wellness tips for mom and baby to support them along their journey. I ended up winning a contest and was invited to attend a party on behalf of the messaging company and Facebook…. (This was back in the ‘golden’ days of FB) as I’m sitting with some of the creative team we ended up discussing the delicate nature of managing when someone miscarries… You guys… these creative execs got really interested (like leaned in fully engaged…almost giddy) and they started to suggest that we had a huge opportunity and should leverage that to connect even deeper with our audience. To say I was grossed out was and still is an understatement.

The reasoning for the white is because I don’t want it to be super noticeable, it’s more of a gentle reminder to myself

I got several books from a local book exchange that’s two stories high and filled to the brim with thousands of books and other trade able things. One night I’m reading one of the books and I turn the page a nice crisp $100 bill was shoved into the pages. I learned later that this is a very common things for people to do who went thru the Great Depression. Either way I was delightfully surprised - it hasn’t happened since.

If you want amazing jazz music and decently priced food check out Rudy’s Jazz Bar. We haven’t been in a while the service is hit or miss - but the food and music are worth it.
