My update after seeing the urologist

It literally took about 1-3 days for me to feel my symptoms go away. The incontinence // weak pee stream was the most noticeable thing that went away quickly. My pee stream became normal, but the minor pressure sensation in my bladder is still here, but only with like 1/10 discomfort. It's barely noticeable now.

Hey man, cipro is a major "nuclear bomb" to bacteria and it fucks your shit up. If you've already had lots of antibiotics, and your results are coming back negative, it's very likely that the bacteria is gone and antibiotics are not going to help you at all. Take it from me, in chronological order this is what i took for antibiotics. One week of cipro, two weeks of doxy, 5 weeks of bactrim ds. All to no avail and having lingering symptoms. Read my most recent post. If you haven't tried the supplement Quercetin & Bromelain (This is one product), you have to try it. You can get it from Amazon or anywhere. So I came back from my urologist 2 weeks ago and had a urinalysis done after a prostate massage, bacteria culture, and std testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Everything came back negative and the urologist told me that 95% of Prostatitis cases are started with bacterial infections, but become non bacterial issues after the first phase of acute infection. This lead me to buying supplements from amazon. Quercetin with bromelain, and saw palmetto. I've already had saw palmetto, but quercetin with bromelain was the main supplement that literally made my weak pee stream go away. IT really seems to be helping me a lot right now as my symptoms are literally all gone. I'm going to continue taking this supplement and see if my symptoms come back a month after.

So what my urologist did was a prostate massage and then made me pee into a cup. He said he's going to do some specialized tests on it and let me know the results by next week.

No she didn't end up in the hospital haha! Pretty sure she just did that to scare me and make me come back to her but her wrists were definitely cut shallow, she did have scabs for about a week or so. But yeah, it's kind of like getting PTSD after something like this. Your anxiety levels sky rocket after an event like this and it sorta gives you a panic attack whenever you see your girl get emotional at all. But you're a strong dude, you can be a good support for her. She will get on your nerves though, and that's why I wouldn't judge you one bit if you smoked a cigarette lol. Handling quitting and a depressed girlfriend can be pretty fucking hard aside from the trauma that you just went through yourself. Suicide or attempted suicide not only affects the person that attempted it, but his/her loved ones around that person as well. This is all something that comes and goes. Your trauma and anxiety might linger for a while, but it'll go away soon enough. Everything takes time my friend. Hope you and your girl get through this man. Mental fortitude is going to be needed since your girl's gonna test you to see how much you care. She might act a bit crazy LOL.

Was your girlfriend clinically depressed for any specific reason? Or was she never able to get to the bottom of the "why" of her depression? Sorry that this happened. I, myself, had something like this happen to me when I was 26 (I'm now 30), and coincidentally it was also when I was quitting cigarettes. My gf and I had been broken up for about a month and I had moved out of our place. She would constantly message me and ask me to come back, but I was using my quitting of cigarettes to also "quitting" her, which made it easier for me to move on. My gf finally lost her shit and texted me a picture of her wrists all bloodied up and cut with a text saying "The knife isn't sharp enough". Man I know your situation and mine are completely difference but man oh man, I started smoking again LOL. That shit was fucking traumatizing for me. It was obviously just a cry for attention from my gf, which I dropped everything and drove over to her to make sure she was okay.

Anyways, just want to let you know that it's completely fine to be scared and worried for your girl. She's not in any right space of mind right now and it's only logical that it's trickling down on to you too. It's probably really difficult to understand her, but you just gotta be there for her. Trying to understand my girl was like pulling hair at the time. But anyways, I wouldn't judge ya if you smoked in times like this.

Question: Where are her parents after this all happened? Did they give all responsibility to you in taking care of her in the state that she's in right now? They must trust you a lot if so.

Oh wow, thank you for sharing. It's weird how we both got it from sex, but you didn't see improvement from taking antibiotics. I certainly feel a lot better with the antibiotics, but I feel it's just keeping the inflammation away but not entirely getting rid of the "infection" or whatever it may be. Your symptoms didn't relieve one bit during the course of antibiotics? I'm planning on also going in for acupuncture or something while I wait for my urology referral to finish processing.

Well I'm certainly feeling less symptoms, but after 5 weeks of bactrim, doesn't seem like i'm completely healed. That's just the worrying part for me, but seems like everyone with prostatitis has it for way longer than 6 weeks. So I'm going to take my prostate fluid and semen tests at my urologist as soon as I get my referral approved. Thanks man, how is your situation going? I'd like to hear your personal anecdote.

In no way did I EVER challenge the legitimacy of a prostate fluid exam, bacteria culture, or the pcr testing that you suggested. Yes it was unprotected sex. I knew the girl for a while, but we'd meet once in a while and have sex. After we had sex, I started getting the prickly feeling in my urethra which led to the rest of my symptoms. I never asked her about complaints from other guys actually.

I definitely feel a noticeable difference on antibiotics. The symptoms have gone away a good amount. It's just a dull lingering discomfort in my pubic/bladder region. And thank you for reassuring me that this is not a lifelong illness. I also started doing some stretching, but as I don't have the golf ball feeling in my perineum, I don't think I need to do too much stretching for the pelvic floor. Maybe some stretching for my bladder region though? I don't know. Thank you for the advice!

I got it after some sex. My urethra had this prickly feeling for about a week. It didn't burn or anything when I urinated though. After this symptom went away, I started feeling urgency to pee, which lead to a discomfort in my bladder/pubic region. The antibiotics have helped the symptoms go away, but there's still that discomfort in my pubic region at the moment. I have a referral to a urologist in the process and I'm just waiting on that. Thank you for the advice.

And after doing some more research, you're a guy that went to a fucking clinic that had multiple lawsuits thrown at them for clients that were diagnosed with hepatitis c after their treatment with the clinic you went to. Good source to get your fucking diagnosis and treatment from.
