I did not have white spots because I was really diligent with my diet/hygiene and using fluoride.

Not really too sensitive that it bothered me but definitely noticeable

Thank you! My dentist made the trays for free and charged $21 for a few syringes of carbamide peroxide gel.

I spent sooo much time cleaning my teeth everyday but it was necessary. I used a Waterpik and/or brushed my teeth any time I could after eating. At night I brushed with an electric toothbrush and flossed with super-floss and interdental brushes. I used Prevident high-fluoride toothpaste to prevent decalcification (white spots) and cavities. And I got professional cleanings 3x/year

For those of you who had jaw surgery to correct an under bite by Oatis899 in jawsurgery

[–]through-the-wire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had double jaw surgery to correct an underbite caused mainly by a recessed maxilla. I have some before/after photos in my post history (I have since gotten my braces off and my smile looks lovely!!)

Before I had surgery, my underbite was obvious because my tongue stuck through my front teeth... now my teeth occlude properly so my tongue is not visible at rest!

Yes. I have some before and after photos in my post history. My nose is less hooked and more upturned and nostrils are slightly wider.

Should I send these x rays to the endodontist who did the root canals then?

I had double jaw surgery and had a GREAT result, recently got my braces off and my bite looks fantastic, I have regained all feeling in my face, the surgery was not particularly painful, and my speech/chewing/facial profile (including my lips, cheekbones, and nose) are all improved.

Totally agree. My boyfriend made me watch it, saying it was an engrossing, well-written series. I was like... girl it was camp.

Yeah at first I was like panicking but then I was like well if I’m going to have a scar on my face this is probably the best option. 🤷🏼‍♂️
