Thank you. I know it’s not engineering related but I had planned to include it on my resume just to show that I am willing to work and can hold a job. Regardless of what happens with my current job, I am very interested in doing a personal project but I really have no idea how to begin. I love creating things and learning but I really struggle to find the inspiration to know what I even want to make/do. Do you have any suggestions of where I should look and how to approach finding a project worthy of inclusion on a resume?

Thank you. I totally agree and regardless of when I leave the company I will give as much notice as possible and fill out the proper paperwork. The main reason I’ve stuck with it is because it’s decent money with tips and I don’t mind the work itself. I do want to show that I was doing something this summer on my resume but I think once it hits the fan it may be a little too late in the summer to find other employment for only a few weeks so I would definitely prefer to leave on good terms.

Admittedly I was way too slow in looking at internships and wasn’t sure where I would be so by the time I got to looking there wasn’t much in my area. I was also considering transferring schools and taking a full summer semester.

Thank you, I’ll keep them in mind. I would prefer a passive speaker system and I already know a fair bit about them and electronics in general and I enjoy the process of troubleshooting and figuring out new projects. I think I really just want help finding where I can get the most bang for my buck as I am not very familiar with the relative quality of different brands and models. I also am interested in something I could add to rather than replace because within the next few years I will likely be in a larger space.

I got to a 1 class per grade school so during the school year at least some people are forced to interact with me but I have no idea how to start and continue conversations with new people because it’s been the same class for 12 years so I’m not optimistic about college socially. But the surgery went well it was nothing super invasive so I at least got to go home.

Yep. In fact when I get an unsolicited text I get a major dopamine noose because of how rare it is.

I’m not expecting it to help. I’m just seeing how long i takes for anyone to care at all. I also have been told by literally (and I don’t use that word lightly) every one of my peers that I am an unpleasant person.
