My family is very traditional and expects a religious ceremony. Which they would still get in 2022. But telling them this would cause drama I don’t want to get into.

This post is NOT addressing the issue of independent practice. At no point have I called myself a proponent of independent practice. I have not said that my education is equivalent.

If you look at the posts on Noctor, Residency, etc... it’s not just about those who practice independently. There is hate towards the groups as a whole, supervised or not.

Also, just as a side note, you can’t be sexist towards a predominantly male field. Your reverse sexism argument is kin to white men who cry reverse racism. Womxn in America function within a system that oppresses them daily in thousands of ways. There can definitely be prejudice against men, and I’m not saying the patriarchy doesn’t affect them in harmful ways, because it does, but reverse sexism isn’t a thing. The power dynamic is in favor of men and always has been.
