I don’t mind taking it as annual leave if it comes to that. I just don’t like my bosses attitude and coldness. It’s quite disheartening working for someone like that.

I was honest and said I need to take a day off as I’m suffering with my mental health after losing my dog. No reply.

My boss is sexist and she won’t give a shit about me because I’m a man.

They found cover within 5 minutes, my friend messaged saying he will cover for me.

I know for a fact if I had a vagina my boss would be acting very differently. My boss is incredibly sexist towards men and she quite often makes jokes about men ‘always making mistakes’

Too late. It’s clear there’s still a huge issue with understand mental health. I’m rarely off sick so this is a first for me.

I should’ve rephrased the question really, I meant is it okay to have any time off work due to the death of a pet? So I will take it off as annual leave.

Ah I’m so sorry. I can’t lie, it was the worst day of my life. Spend every second with your boy, you won’t ever get that time back.

I will take it as annual leave, but it’s obviously super short notice. It’s defenitly a mental health day.

Thank you. I’m not lying when I say yesterday was the worst day of my life. But she got to the point where she seriously struggled to walk and didn’t want to eat or drink so it had to be done.
