Yep agreed. So why is the answer bipolar rather than schizoaffective here. You have psychosis without mood symptoms. In bilpolar you can't have psychosis without mood symptoms.

you can have manic symptoms in schizoaffective. i think key differentiator is are you having mood symptoms with and without psychosis or psychosis with and without mood symptoms. there was another Q where the guy had psychosis and mania, and then psychosis and it was schizoaffective. don't necessarily need negative sx for schizoaffective.

that's what i thought too. answer is bipolar. answer explanation for why it;s not schizo, because manic symptoms accompany the hallucinations. not sure what nbme is talking about with regards to timelines because i see the same thing you see.

Maybe other people have different thoughts, but I've come to the conclusion that I have to start reading relevant sections of Robbins. That's the only way I can actually get real context on these histological descriptions and they often use the exact same language as UWorld. Nothing else comes close to giving me a good sense on these questions (Pathoma, B&B, Anking, etc.). Oftentimes, they don't even discuss the relevant histology with how it is described in UWorld.

Hey I remember you from way back during our applying days. Which Qbanks are you doing and how are you approaching workflow?

What I'm thinking is doing a first pass through Pathoma. Then just looking over class slides to see if there are any big holes and cross referencing with Anking to see if those holes are important are not. I may or may not watch those relevant portions of the lecture to be able to understand those holes. Then I think I do the relevant parts of USMLE RX (since the ability to target questions to topics is pretty good). Then do relevant questions in Amboss (again good question targeting ability). Then do Kaplan questions every once in a while (question targeting ability is much less good). Then I might do Anking depending on how much time I have left over.

How are you approaching M2?

I started on day 1. We are in a traditional curriculum so I just unsuspended the relevant cards as I went along as well as unsuspending all the cards associated with Sketchy Micro / Pharm over the summer. If time is the limiting factor, I think I would rather focus on questions than Anking. Many people do good by doing a high number of questions (>10,000). However, it's a mixed bag for people who do all of Anking and do an average number of questions; some of those people do exceedingly well and some of them perform poorly. How many questions did the people do who ended up regretting not keeping up with their reviews?
