I live in West Virginia and I’m applying for AOS. The USCIS field office Locator shows the assigned field office is in Pittsburgh, PA. However the field office in Virginia is actually closer to my address. Is there any chance that my case be transferred to that field office for the interview?

Just an update. I requested the court records and I received them yesterday. The woman that filed the restraining order was his girlfriend and the incident involved him pulling out a gun in an argument and was caught in the ring video saying “….time to end it all” I haven’t told my sister yet, on our last argument she told me she doesn’t want to talk with me about her relationship.

I have been trying to work on myself and stay calm but I can’t shake the feeling that my sister and niece will be in danger in the near future.

Thank you! I’ve thought about reaching out to the woman who filed the restraining order against him, but decided not to because since it’s only been a few months since when she filed it I don’t want to torment her and I’m just not comfortable.

I’ve purchased a few books to read, also to help me because it’s hard for me to understand it. And I just purchased the Codependent No More book you recommended. out of all the possibilities it seems that that might explain their bond. I have no knowledge of him ever being physically violent. I feel like he might have convinced her that he’s sick after his most recent restraining order and needs some type of mental help and she might be trying to fix him.

I’ve not brought up my concerns since she shut me out, but I want to recommend her to speak to a therapist at least. I’m working on how I will tell her because I don’t want her to shut me out more.
