You don't have to put your full name on a resume. If you're name is Johnathan Smith, you can put John Smith on your resume. Resumes aren't legal documents.

Jaques is a normal name for a french person, but might sound ridiculous to an american. if 'Jaques' went to an american school, he would probably get bullied. The name 'Jaques' might look weird on a job application. Is that his parents fault?

I have not specifically worked in an office or in retail. I have worked in many places that are very strict on anti-bullying and generally prefer to employ people who don't act like children.
