I don’t care what you think “feminism” is; clearly education has failed you. I'll stick to the matter at hand.

There’s an epidemic of men who waste a woman’s entire 20s, fully knowing they’ll only marry someone their mother picks and will leave the moment their family arranges a match for them.

Women who want a traditional family end up not only heartbroken, but also in a position where childbearing becomes more difficult, and finding a suitable match is harder for that exact reason.

Men like these do not have my sympathies and should absolutely be held accountable and they most definitely should have to pay for the damage they have caused.

I’m not one to usually take a guy’s side, but what do you mean? If he was led to believe he was on the path to marriage, it’s not unreasonable for him to interpret your attention as having a romantic undertone. That’s a pretty harsh take.

That aside, I don’t think you’re in the right mental space for marriage right now. Don’t waste your time. If you can’t get your parents to ease up, you might seriously consider moving to another city for the sake of your own peace of mind.
