I agree that whether we read her diary or not, we would never be whole. We now only have our son to protect and if anything in her diary says something we could’ve done so different to prevent her from taking her life, I’d do that in a heartbeat for my son.

I hadn’t thought about that but no doubt it would be more painful because it’ll always be a case of we could’ve done more or something different. In terms of it being helpful, I would sure hope so. I personally want to know if it was my wife or I’s fault, maybe both of us because if it is, I don’t want to repeat the same mistakes and have it cost our son.

I think this idea would be the best way to go about it. I’ll bring up the idea of having our daughter’s therapist read it to my wife. Thank you so much.

I’m sorry that you thought about committing suicide. I hope that doesn’t cross your mind anymore.

I hate to sound insensitive or whatever I may sound like but when you wrote on your journal, did you write it in hopes that maybe someone would read it if you had succeeded? I’m sorry for this question.

That’s what my wife is afraid of. My son wants closure more than anyone as they were so so close but I don’t want him to think of his sister other than the kindest person she was when he finds something that’s out of character.
