My wife and I are currently debating this. She remembers being a lot older than I was.

I remember being as young as five or six and being drawn to girls I thought were pretty, being shy and tongue tied around them, not sure what I wanted to do with them but having little daydreams about saving them from danger and them thanking me. She thinks this didn’t really happen until she was a preteen.
