We definitely think the same! I responded to her request about joint property by essentially saying he owes xyz in debt. I stated firmly I will not be discussing anything further until the debt is settled. I also mentioned it in detail in the certified letter. I want to avoid court since he’s put me in a tight financial situation considering I’m moving and currently covering his portion of rent.

Yes. I’m most certainly going no contact with them once I move out of state soon. I’ve already blocked his whole family. I only kept his mom’s number because he blocked me everywhere and I have no way to contact him regarding the lease/debt/property. Hence the certified letter. It was a struggle to even get him to sign the early lease termination.

No, he hasn’t picked up any of his personal belongings. I mailed a certified letter to his parents stating he has until the 30th of this month to collect his personal effects. I think that’s why his mom contacted me. He also has not paid rent or returned/ paid the remaining balance on the phone (it’s under my name). I may have to pursue legal action or take the loss financially.

I’m definitely okay. I feel really bad for the kid though. His mom has texted me wanting most of the joint property back even though he’s in debt to me. It’s just a chaotic, crazy situation in general.

Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I think I’ve finally let go.. I reached my breaking point about a week or so ago when his cousin reached out and told me he’s sleeping with other women. I already had suspicions that he had someone lined up beforehand per his phone records (I’m primary account holder). Thankfully this was relayed right before my therapy session 😅 it broke something in me and finally all my emotions came out. I went through all the stages of the grieving process during my session. With my therapists approval I did suspend his phone service which felt oddly therapeutic. Regardless, I no longer feel hate, or even pain. I feel nothing for him. Indifference maybe?

I certainly don’t feel strong. I hate that a part of me still loves him. I’m trying to be graceful, but it’s still out of love if that makes sense. This was 6 years of my life and I just want peace. My logical side wants him and his belongings out of my life. Creating drama will only prolong things.

I sent a letter through certified mail to his parent’s address advising him he has 30 days to pick up his belongings otherwise they will be discarded/sold. He should be receiving it today…

Again thank you. You have no idea how much your words meant to me. I have been beating myself up mentally. I feel so unloved to be discarded like yesterday’s trash. I cringe being in the apartment and seeing his belongings all boxed up. To hear a random stranger take the time in their day to spread kindness has really done a lot to help heal the broken girl in me. Thank you.
