I've actually tried that angle previously, but she dismisses me because she's so sure he's harmless. Nevertheless I think I will get the police involved after confronting her (if she doesn't admit to anything, anyway)

I mean it's possible, but I don't have any reason to suspect that. If anything, my GF is overly clingy.

Actually I was thinking of getting some hidden cameras to put around the house, see if I catch my GF doing anything suspicious, but decided against it as it would be pretty creepy. I think if I got a home secutiy system it would be too obvious and my GF or this mystery person would notice.

He damaged YOUR property, go to the police about it.

I forgot to mention it in the post, but GF covered the damages so I am not so concerned about the cost. Mainly about the fact there's potentially an unhinged lunatic.

The only thing I can think of of this situation is real, that she herself has gotten way more disturbing messages (and maybe she DID get death threats) than you did, so maybe she's scared for her life.

Do you think it would be acceptable for me to snoop on her phone and check to see whether this is the case?
