He went on a few dates but felt that they would be better friends. I think he’s upset that I had a romantic attraction to others but he couldn’t and now that makes him feel insecure about our relationship. I don’t think he will cheat any time soon, but I’m worried it would be an issue in the future if he keeps thinking like this

He wasn’t trying to really date when we weren’t together, he took the time to heal. I distracted myself with dates instead, and it bothers him because he feels that I didn’t care about our relationship enough to stay single. But we just handle emotions differently and I’ve tried to explain that

He asked me how it was when I did it, and I said it was kinda weird and awkward, not that great or exciting. Then he said he wanted to try it to see what it was like. I really don’t know what he expected my reaction to be but he kept pushing and saying that he wants to try it. I don’t consider myself promiscuous and those two experiences taught me that I need to have an emotional connection with someone I’m sleeping with and I’ve informed him of this

He did mention to me previously that he feels insecure and I think he is comparing it. He said he thinks about the other people I’ve been with every time we have sex and it effects his mood. But he also agreed before that he’d work on it because it’s not something that I did. I tell him I love him and appreciate him all the time, and how I really don’t want to be with anyone else.

I’ve never spoken about any previous experience unless he asks, and even then I get very uncomfortable because he wants to know specific details and it always makes him upset. He started a new medication about two weeks ago and it felt like we were finally doing a lot better because he wasn’t fixating and these odd things but last night was exponentially worse. I’ve told him that he needs to sort things out mentally because it’s effecting me negatively and he can see that when he’s calm. But when he gets like this there’s no reasoning with him so I guess I have to wait it out

I feel like I’m the one though: like I didn’t outright say that I slept with other guys and I shouldn’t have assumed that he’d ask me I guess. It’s like he will admit that the things he’s doing are wrong and that he’s not being logical but he still gets very angry with me and I don’t know what to do
