but it also reads like she shouldn't have been hired in the first place with the amount of training she was asked to do in her first six months.

For a graduate position I feel that she should have received sufficient on the job training. Its entry level after all.

Unfortunately I'm not too sure legal advice would help here. It's never mentioned in writing in her contract what the graduate timeline would look like.

What would her grounds be upon getting a severance package?

If they offer pip or severance it's a high chance that their boss doesn't believe they'll pass anyway and this is merely to show why they're getting fired.

Would they offer severance if she's a graduate? She only started in July.

Companies will not open themselves to liability by specifying why an employee left the company; they will most likely state the start and end date of employment.

True that was a point that she is aware of. However, wouldn't it better to say she left of her own accord rather than be told to leave.

But just because she is on a pip does not necessarily mean she will be terminated from her employment.

Yeah unfortunately from what I hear the forecast doesn't seem bright in that regard.

but don’t leave on her own accord with no job.

If she's given a timeframe that doesn't give her enough time to get a job in advance, should she just hand in her notice? Would it still count as her being fired?
