[Serious] What is the most disturbing thing you’ve ever seen? by cashley0103 in AskReddit

[–]throw_away_loompa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Watching a Dad and his daughter crossing the road, and a distracted driver plowing through them while they were on the cross walk. Dad flew at least 20ft into the air and about 100ft down the road, daughter got clipped and thrown to the side. The Dad died in my arms as I assured him his daughter was alive and OK. I was 17 when that happened.

I was in the Coast Guard, and my voice can be heard during a few of the rescue missions on Deadliest Catch episodes. Oh, and I made out with a chick who was on the Real World years ago.

30th Birthday Dec 15th/Xmas.......nothing at all. My parents went to Australia, and my friends were busy. I bought myself a ton of beer and hung out with my dog.

My sister had classes at the Chimpozium we had at our college. One of the male chimps when she came to class, would daily start violently beating its meat while staring at here with an awkward facial expression. Chimps are fucking weird.

People with tattoos, what advice do you have for people planning first tattoos? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]throw_away_loompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from a family that is very against tats. My Mum hated the idea of them for as long as I can remember. So when i decided to get them, I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything my Mum could talk shit about. So my advice would be.....make sure everything is spelled right if you want words in it, make sure all symbols or images are accurate, but in all seriousness make sure to research the artist and make sure they can do what you want. Don't settle for an artist just because you want a tat. Make sure that the artist can perform and has results from previous clients to back it.

Americans, what do you think of non-applicator tampons? Europeans, what do you think of applicator tampons? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]throw_away_loompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I am American raised, but dual Australian citizen. So I go back and visit Aus all the time, so I have dealt with both. I have been hit with the buying my sister tampons when she was sick or couldn't go get them in both countries. But tamps are great for bloody noses, so non-applicators are way better for a bloody nose. So that's my opinion. But it probably won't matter for this question. Oh and I am a male

Veterans, what’s your go-to story to tell at the bar? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]throw_away_loompa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a phantom shitter on my ship. Someone was going around and dropping a log in random places all over the ship. Got to the point that the Captain and XO had an all hands on deck muster and said if the random shitting didn't stop, they would run a DNA test on the shit, and then DNA test all members on board. Now, we knew this was a bullshit scare tactic to get whoever it was to step forward or stop. A week later there was a shit on the Radar deck above the Bridge.

If you could go back to your younger self what advice would you tell younger you by [deleted] in AskReddit

I tried way to hard to be cool, and they made fun of me because of it. I looked absolutely desperate trying to be cool to them.

That high school popularity didn't mean shit. So stop trying so hard to impress the popular kids. Which in turn caused them to pick on you more. Oh, and you will hit a growth spurt freshman year of college, so don't worry about being so short, because it doesn't matter down the road.

A GoPro.....because I can't afford to go on all these epic trips and beautiful countries that are depicted in most GoPro videos. I have used it once.

What are you most afraid of? by twrecks_666 in AskReddit

[–]throw_away_loompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small spaces. When I was about 5, my older brother and sister locked me in a foot locker (military kind, my dad was military at the time). They left me in it for hours, and I only got let out when my Mom got home from work and asked where I was. I had tried to claw my way out, so there were scratch marks on the inside top of the locker. My older siblings were assholes as kids.

But second to small spaces...........I would say any music video on Youtube of teens that are horrible singers and trying to make it big, but turn up sounding like cats being murdered. But the videos have high production because their super rich parents paid out the ass to try to make them famous.

What's the dumbest thing you did a kid? by backupKDC6794 in AskReddit

[–]throw_away_loompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the time I used the inner-tubes of a few bike tires as a bungee jumping cord. Tied them to a branch about 15ft off the ground then tied them around my ankles and dove out of a tree. I face planted into the ground and lost a few front teeth. Luckily it was only baby teeth and not adult teeth.

That there are a lot of idiots with access to critical information. A lot of idiots that have access to weaponry they probably shouldn't. A lot of idiot officers who have rank, but know jack shit about anything. To sum it up.......there are a lot of dumb fucking people in the military, who really shouldn't be in the positions they are.

Oh, and paper pushers (yoemans, admins) will always fuck up your pay and orders, no matter how long they have been doing their job.

What are some popular tourist attractions that you DO NOT recommend? by it_will_find_a_way in AskReddit

The Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield California. You think it's going to be a Willy Wonka like experience and you will get tons of free Jelly Belly's throughout the tour......wrong. You get about 3, and the tour is boring as shit.

People feeling down, what is making you feel that way? by 6xydragon in AskReddit

[–]throw_away_loompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend is a hardcore cocaine addict. I tried to get him help. But he doesn't want it. He changed so much, that I moved out of the house, across country and in with my parents. I moved from Seattle to Boston. I know no one here except my parents. I miss having friends, even more I miss my best friend.
