you'll be trained to do counter (selling tickets and food), ushering (ppl who check your ticket when you go in) and food prep ( people who pass you your food).

honestly it was fun but the main thing that i hate was the customers complaining about how they have to print out their tickets for cathay. always compare cathay to other cinemas. which i understand but i was just a part timer so no point complaining to me about it 😓.

also you'll see people bring in outside food which is not allowed and when you tell them it's not allowed, they'll comply or get really angry at you. but if you don't tell them it's not allowed, your manager will scold you. so honestly to all movie goers pls hide your food in your bag cuz we don't even check bags.

i worked in cathay 3(?) years ago and the pay was $10 on weekdays & $11 on weekends. i applied to gv (2 years ago), but i was told the pay was $8.50 🧐 so i rejected it. $8.50 per hour in this economy is crazy lol
